 Staff Training:

Winesoked is equipped to conduct staff training. We primarily focus on wine education, but can create a beer and spirits program as well to meet your needs. Whether you are opening a new location, or wishing to arm your staff with better product knowledge and service skills we are you here for you.

Basic Training: (This is recommended on a bi-annual bases)

  • This is a two hour class where Sara Kay teaches your staff fun key points about your menu.
  • How to guide a guest to the right selection for them and you.
  • Proper wine and champagne service (as it fits in your concept.)
  • Why proper pours and wine care is important for everyone.

Management Coaching: (This should be done annually or whenever there is a major change in management, or concept.)

  • A two-day workshop where Sara Kay teaches your staff fun key points about your menu.
  • How to teach new hires to guide a guest to the right selection for them and you.
  • How to teach proper wine and champagne service (as it fits in your concept.)
  • Why proper pours and wine care is important for everyone.
  • How to motivate staff to up-sell.
  • How to track and minimize theft and loss.
  • How to incentivize in a positive and productive manner.
  • How to track inventory and move product that is stagnant.

Building Your List:

If you would like a striking wine list, without the striking cost of hiring a full-time Wine Director, Sara Kay is available to help you build your wine & spirits program to make your restaurant or bar a success.

She will help you formulate your concept and budget. She will work closely with your Chef to make sure that the pairings will be truly remarkable, and most importantly she will work with your distributors to make sure you are getting the best possible bottom line.
